Small town American life has a certain charm to it, allowing for a simple, relaxing, and tranquil existence. However, it can also be boring, monotonous, and worst of all, lonely. Gabe and Ernesto, two middle-aged gay men living in a small Texas town, know firsthand how lonely small town life can be. Though neither men know each other, their situations are almost identical. The stigma their small town has against homosexuality makes finding love and maintaining an open and healthy relationship next to impossible.
Gabe, still recovering from an ended affair with a married-man, lives and maintains a relationship with his ex-wife and daughter. Ernesto, frustrated with his relationship to a younger man, spends time away from home at the bedside of an ex-lover who is lost in a coma. Though both men have grown accustomed to their isolation and loneliness, they still both yearn for romance that is passionate and true.
